1. Wrap the clamp around the leg at about the waterline.
2. Put the 2″ bolt partway through one of the holes.
3. Attach one end of the deep water brace to the bolt.
4. Close the clamp and run the bolt through.
5. Add the spring.
6. Lightly attach the wing nut.
7. Pivot the deep brace arm as far up as it will go
8. Tighten the wing nut as tightly as possible.
9. The clamp will remain loose so you can lower the arm.
10. Lower the clamp/arm as per the instructions.
11. Then bring the top of the arm over to the other leg.
12. As the arm pivots over, the clamp will tighten up and hold fast.
